Nothing beats a meal enjoyed outdoors. So part of me was grateful when my cat destroyed our hammock, finally making room for the retro outdoor table of my vintage-filled dreams.

Crosley’s Metal Outdoor Table
Isn’t she pretty?

This 40-inch table is made by Crosley Furniture, a spinoff of the brand that brought us the world’s cutest record players. I love that Crosley is keeping mid-century style alive with new products available today.
Their dining table looks just like the original version that came with my house, except my antique was thoroughly rusted and in need of replacement. Lucky for me, these charmers are still being made.

That tulip-inspired silhouette is forever fabulous.
As soon as a spot cleared up on my deck (thank you, Charlie, my property-destroying cat!), I ordered the Crosley table. It is UV- and weather-resistant, with room for a party of four.

Assembling the Crosley Table
Plan on having a buddy and some fairy dust to build this table. The product description says it’s easy to assemble, but I object to this characterization.
It was a struggle to line up the four legs and get all of the screws to reach the piece in the center. Keeping the screws loose and following the detailed instructions wasn’t enough.

Maybe the table I received was a little off. Ultimately we used straps to pull the table legs together and get the screws to attach. It was a chore, but worth it.
Retro Outdoor Dining Chairs
Almost time for alfresco dining!
You can bring your own chairs or choose from Crosley’s line of colorful, vintage-style options, sold separately or in a dining set. I’m partial to the Brighton and the Bates, but they all have mid-century flair to create the look you want.
Retro Outdoor Table Accessories

I spruced up my table with a milk glass vase, Cathrineholm coffee pot and tempting charcuterie plate. Look for vintage milk glass at the Goodwill or your local antique store.
You can make a DIY serving tray by shaping a piece of wood and adding modern handles. Then throw in a tiki umbrella and you’re ready to dine in style.

Loving your new little relaxing Alfresco dining corner you created! It’s awesome!! (Charlie is sorry about the hammock but at least you had something nice you had been wanting and dreaming about happen!) Seeing that table and all the types of chairs brought back lots of memories..I can remember seeing them all. I do believe every family from the mid-century era had that table and those chairs. lol. Do you still have the antique one and could it be refinished or made usable again? This little corner is a great addition to your MCM home. Love it!! ( Looking forward to sitting out there in Sept. 😉 )
That’s cool you remember the table and chairs! I love all the different retro looks of the chairs. We still have the rusted antique table in the shop. Maybe it could be stripped and repainted someday. I forgive Charlie for the hammock because it is nice having this cozy seating area now. 🙂 You will love it!
Very fun, festive, and colorful!
Thanks, Lauren! 🙂
